Clover (SC) Boys Shatter School 6400 Meter Relay Record
April 22, 2026
Clover Distance Coach Chris Young sent in a special request for Clover's home meet on Wednesday, April 22nd (2026). He requested that we add the 4 x 1600 (6400 Meter Relay) to the schedule to be run after the 4 X 400 Meter Relays. His senior distance runners had the idea that they had a shot at breaking the school record which stood at 18:59.81.
Senior distance runners Wade Ward, Ethan Solomon, Aidan Barkaway, and Alex Bohlen shatter the record by roughly 12 seconds, turning in a time of 18:47.86.

Ward, Bohlen, and Solomon each hold school records of their own to include the 1500 M Run, 1600 M Run, 2K Steeplechase, and 800 M Run.
Nicholi Lee (senior) Breaks Gray's Creek 400 Meter Dash Record

On April 30, 2026, senior sprinter/mid-distance runner Nicholi Lee broke the school record for the 400 M Dash. The old record, 49.58 was set back in 2023. Lee, a second year Track and Field athlete broke the record at his conference championship meet.
Lee's new personal best and school record places at third in his region (6A East) and he is poised to make the state meet in May.
Lee, for a second year track athlete, is also a pretty good 800 Meter runner. He is currently ranked 8th in the 6A East Region with a time of 2:03.86. Lee has also led his team to a regional berth in the 3200 Meter
Relay. The relay team is ranked 2nd in the 6A East Region and they are poised to move on to states from the regional meet.
Masters Section Astounded Fans at The 2nd Annual Francena McCorory Invitational
On Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 at the 2nd Annual Francena
McCorory Invitational, four sprinters - all over the age of 60 competed and stunned the crowd with their times.
At 68 years old, Ronald Humphrey took the 100 Dash with 13.15. Gerald Mitchell, 63, took 2nd with 13.47. Taking 3rd place was Michael Jones, Sr. (66) with 13.51 and finally Benjamin Cureton (61) rounded out the heat with 13.87.
All of these men ran impressive times and the crowd let them know how impressed they were.
